This project is especially close to my heart—it’s for my favorite café in my hometown of Scheveningen, Netherlands. Run by a mother and son, Papan has been in their family for four generations, making it a true local institution.

As they rebranded, they wanted a fresh new look that included a mural, wall art, and custom t-shirts—something that would reflect both the café’s deep roots and the surf culture of Scheveningen.

For the t-shirt designs, we focused on creating something that tourists would want to take home, but just as importantly, something that locals would feel connected to. Papan has always been about more than just good coffee—it’s the people, the atmosphere, and that sense of belonging. We wanted the designs to capture that feeling.
